Perineural Injection Therapy
Lyfogt Perineural Injection Therapy is a treatment discovered and developed by Dr. John Lyftogt.
What is Perineural Injection Therapy (PIT)?
PIT consists of a series of small injections of buffered D5W (dextrose 5% in sterile water) with a neutral pH of 7.4, to reduce and eliminate pain syndromes. It is very effective for chronic neuropathic pain, where the nerves are chronically inflamed.
Every treatment aims to eliminate pain
Pain can be from an old injury or a new injury, trauma, falls, accidents, and so on. After the first treatment, pain relief may last for four hours to four days. Treatment is usually repeated for 6-8 sessions every week. This helps to gradually reduce inflammation and thus pain anywhere in the body.
Dr. Sinha also utilizes other European Biological Injection Therapies at the clinic. These will be discussed with you as they pertain to your treatment.
